Masako Kozuki


Masako was born in Okayama, Japan. She begun to study music in the University of Music in Aichi (Japan) with the Prof. Obata. In 2001 she moved to Germany where she continued the study of Oboe study in the´“Hochschule für Musik“ of Detmold in Renania- Westfalia in the class of Prof. Gernot Schmalfuss. Here in the 2005 she graduated with the best grade.
In the next years Masako continued to study in the “OrchesterZentrum“ of Dortmund and reach the grduate in the 2008.
From 2008 to 2010 she enhance her education following a class of chamber music in the “Hochschule für Musik“ of Detmold with the Prof. Josef Kiss as teacher.


Masako Kozuki took part in many Masterclass of oboe and english horn made by high level professors as Thomas
Indermühle and Heike Steinbrecher. She played in Orchestre as the Nordwestdeutschen Philharmonie and Dortmunder Philharmoniker.
From 2005 to 2013 she was a permanent member of the Orchestra Bergische Symphoniker.
Masako Kozuki is a founding member of the woodwind quintet Antares (, founded in 2008 in Detmold. She teach "The construction of Oboe Reeds" since October 2013 in Hochschule of Detmold .
